So, this is my second baby and he is 5 months old, exclusively breastfed....and he is really big, like 90th percentile in weight. My husband calls him pumpkin. He says that it is the breastmilk because it is so high in fat and that I should wean him and give him formula to thin him out. I really don't want to do that cuz I think formula is really bad for babies and I like breastfeeding. I don't feed him more than every 3 or 4 hours and only twice at night. And he doesn't seem to nurse for excessively long. But he is awfully chubby. It is concerning because I am overweight and my husband could stand to lose a few too. They say that fat cells never go away. Am I condemming my baby to be fat forever?
